Worked perfectly for a Zune 120!

I usually don’t write these, but no one else has written one for a Zune 120. So, I will do it. This hard drive works perfectly in my Zune 120. I purchased this hard drive and some basic tools (a torx T4-T6 screwdriver kit, safe open tools, and a new front plate [not necessary, but mine was cracked already]). Using some basic youtube videos, I removed and the back plate, removed the metallic tape, then removed the ZIF cable. (For detailed instructions and a video to follow along with, it’s what I did, go to youtube.com and type in Zune 120 hard drive replacement.) I reattached the ZIF cable to the new hard drive, replaced the metallic tape, pushed the key combo for reset, and SHAZAM! I had a fully functional practically-brand-new Zune. The summation of all of this is that this hard drive worked perfectly for me and for my zune 120. Hope it works for you!

My iPod is Alive Again!

I used this drive to replace the broken HD in my old Apple iPod Video (5G) 80GB version after I dropped it and got the sad face upon boot. Replacing this drive was quick and easy using instructions online (YouTube videos helped). This was the best priced drive for the most GB’s found online vs. many other computer parts retail stores. This price was even lower than other no-name 80GB drives. This drive was also thinner than I expected, so it would also work in the 30GB version. The pre-existing white plastic spacer inside filled the gap in my 80GB iPod. Glad I have my entire music library in my car again!

Perfect for Macbook Air 1. generation

This harddisk is a perfect upgrade if you have a macbook air 1. generation from 2008. I’ve been looking at a lot of forums to find this harddisk, and I can tell you that it works. The physical changing can be a bit tricky, but with the guide from ifixit you are on the right path.

I hoped for the better!

First, it couldn’t upgrade ram without voiding the warranty in the net-book which was a big disappointment. Second, anyone had this net-book should try on [...] to see if it froze on you because the netbook froze everytime I went to that website. For a programmer like me, I liked to use eclipse to code but this netbook failed to do that. It’ll print a run time message outofMEMORY in a very small program around 500kb. I would mark it 4 stars if it could run half of my demand but it couldn’t do any basic things like coding and surfing websites with full experience. I tried to install ubuntu to see the different. It could to the verge but it wouldn’t compile eclipse program (waiting around 5min to run but just stop). I won’t recommend this netbook for people who want to program and try fun things with computer. Asus should change the ram location or at least keep the warranty if you want to upgrade Ram for this netbook because this is not gonna work out. I gave it 3 stars because of its design, and hoped one day it could do something more than a beauty netbook. Then I’ll buy it again until then it’s a no go for me.

YOU CAN’T UPGRADE THE RAM

Had this on PRE-order just camping every day until this came in stock. FINALLY the New N2600 CPU’s, more efficient, longer battery life. The Finish around the screen is sessy, they should have done this on the whole computer. Boots up quick AFTER you’ve removed all the crapware. I’ve been a tech for almost 20 years. YOU CAN’T UPGRADE THE RAM. AYFKM Asus? There is NO slot that you can pop open and upgrade the RAM like ALLLL the videos @ CES showed. So you open up 1 tab in Chrome, AFTER you’ve spend 8 hours removing all the CRAPWARE Asus loads up with this, (Dude, the FORCE you to install the BING Bar when you install windows) and you’re done, maxed out RAM and it starts putting everything on the Hard Drive VS RAM which the speed difference is about 100:1 Ram:HDD, so it’s totally choked up. When you can get 2 or 4 GB of RAM for $10-$20, Full RETAIL this is INEXCUSABLE ASUS. You could have double the RAM and made it usable for probably $3 your cost. And what did it save you $0.08 not putting in a port? Nice Bait and swap there. Reminds of me the old packard bell days when they soilders in cards and ram so you can’t upgrade. But there isn’t anything you can spend more and upgrade to, so what the…. Asus? It looks like the lower version 1015 DOES have a battery port, but has short battery life (3 cell battery vs 6). It literally took 8 hours to remove all the unnecessary windows components, all the bloatware, and al the INSANE amounts of ASUS bloatware. After I removed almost every single bit of it, tweaked the heck out of this thing, updated all the drivers, firmware, etc, I can do a cold boot with about ~615-650MB of the ram used. That beats about ~950 (95%) otherwise. DUDE 95% of the usable ram in bloatware? You can’t even open a browser or heck, even solitaire. Would you like to double that ram for

Perfect size for Toshiba NB205

I originally purchased the Caselogic PLS-9Black Ultra Portable 7-Inch – 10-Inch Laptop Sleeve (Black) for my Toshiba Mini NB205-N312/BL. I loved it at first because it is very well padded but closing it with the Toshiba inside was a bit tricky because of the extended battery that sticks out the back of the Toshiba. After several uses, the area around the zipper started to fray where the battery is located and this just caused the zipper to stick (and more fraying to occur) with each use. If you have a netbook without a 6-cell battery, then the Case Logic Sleeve will work just fine, but for a 10″ netbook with an extended battery (specifically the Toshiba NB205) this Be.ez case is the perfect solution. It is not as padded as the Case Logic but it seems like it protects the netbook just as well. It is a “firmer” material that may even offer more protection than the padded material of the other sleeve. Best of all, it easily accommodates the NB205 while maintaining a snug fit…in short, it is perfect for the Toshiba NB205 and likely for other similar netbooks as well.

Perfect case

I just used this case to transport my Samsung NC10 on a weekend trip. It was perfect. The fit was snug, but not so tight that I had to fight with it for my computer. My favorite part of this case is that it is so solid I don’t have to buy a bag designed for laptops. I don’t need a padded compartment, with this sleeve I just throw it in my old bag and go!

If you can get this adapter for under $20, you’ve got yourself a great deal! Came in handy a bunch of times since it fits all the laptops we have (dell, toshiba and acer) and sometimes someone (me) would forget their adapter. All I had to do was switch the heads to get one that fits my laptop and I was good to go I would totally recommend it for anyone.

5 month lifetime

I bought this for an older model Acer computer, as most other adapters lacked support for my model computer. Despite very light use, and being stored in a safe spot when not in use, the adapter no longer works 5 months after my purchase date. The previous adapter lasted 3.5 years, so imagine my surprise to have this crap out on me so quickly.
